"While we used to be just a cover band; we have recently been gobsmacked by releasing five original tunes --- three recorded and two live...
We are from Brantford Ontario Canada.
Joan Minnery - MOM on Vocals
Bill Minnery - SON on Lead Guitar
Dan Taylor - Friend on Drums
bigEZbob - Joan's big brother on Rhythm Guitar
ALL of our music is written collectively by all members of the band."
Every once in a while a group of artists come together and make something absolutely beautiful to the point that it's almost surreal. Sivle has shown me to be one of those collectives.
Described as soft-rock, there is a lot more to hear than the mellow guitar tunes. Their music raised my spirits after a long and difficult weekend. The video above is from the track Throw Down Those Stones, which is the first song I started with. It kicks off with a nice distortion riff that leads into the marching drums and then Joan hits the mic to tie this rock ballad up into a beautiful gift.
Next on the playlist is Whatever It Takes. This song is another hit from their collection, with righteous guitar leads, and a bit of bluesy rhythm. Joan does a wonderful job holding each note as she sings out Whatever It Takes, you can feel that she really believes that. There is an amazing solo waiting for you about three minutes in.
The final song I want to leave you with is called Dancing To Tom Petty.
If you weren't already impressed with Sivle's grasp of classic rock sounds then this song will drill it right in. Sivle really hit home with this song, everyone can relate to this song. It captures that feeling you get when you just want to hear that special song. Then when you do you turn it up and play it loud! If you feel like dancing? Do it!
